Whakatuputupu – the Dunedin Hospital
One of the flagship projects for Mana Ahurea is a partnership with Ministry of Health and Southern District Health Board, working on Whakatuputupu, the new hospital in Ōtepoti.
Improving outcomes for whānau
Mana Tākata is one of the four pou of Aukaha, a diverse social services arm that seeks to improve outcomes for whānau in the Otago region. It is made up of four primary workstreams: health and social services, employment, housing, and economic development.
Te Mana o Te Wai
For more than thirty years, papatipu rūnaka in the Otago region have struggled to gain a voice in policy and planning around regional water resources. Now, thanks to a widespread commitment to change and the work of rūnaka-owned entity Aukaha and its environmental workstream Mana Taiao, progress is being made.
Advocating for Change
Mana Taiao is the environmental pou of Aukaha, and plays a key role in working with both manawhenua and local government to ensure that manawhenua aspirations are at the centre of the kōrero.
