GM Health and Social Services, Chris Rosenbrock has recently celebrated his twenty year anniversary with Aukaha. At the time he joined he was a recent Otago University law graduate and was lucky enough to get a summer job answering the phone and managing resource consents – the rest as they say is history. In his current role, Chris manages the mauri ora and whānau ora contracts and has recently got the Te Ohu Aukaha Managed Apprenticeship Trust, funded by MSD, up and running. Chris whakapapas to the “mighty King Country” and is a registered member of Ngati Maniapoto but he has lived in the South his whole life He has plans to reconnect to the place his mum grew up in … one day. When he’s not at work Chris spends time with his 12-year-old daughter pursuing a number of activities – biking, sport, gym.
“I have loved working for KTKO Ltd now Aukaha over the years, particularly treasuring the mentoring from Edward Ellison and Gail Tipa. The role Joy Smith and the late Rewi Anglem have had on my life has been fantastic and the vision and influence of Tahu Potiki gave me a renewed passion in the area of trade training. What has kept me here has been the ever changing work and new challenges. Mostly though, I want to give back to the Rūnanga that took a chance on me and have been whānau friendly ever since, particularly when it has come to raising my daughter.
