Aukaha is looking for a Project Co-ordinator and business administration superstar to join our team.

Our Cultural and Economic Development unit delivers innovative solutions to help build and strengthen mana whenua presence in regional development. We promote rakatirataka aspirations delivering on key projects across the region by providing technical expertise and working closely with kā rūnaka representatives who are engaged for their cultural expertise and leadership.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual who is a team player with a positive attitude. They will have the ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities, and possess strong communication abilities. As a natural collaborator with initiative who can develop and maintain positive relationships, they will be responsible for supporting a team of staff, project managers and contractors in a variety of roles.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Administration and co-ordination of projects and jobs including setting up projects and recording time, costs and progress in various systems, document control and management of project communications.
• Co-ordinating and tracking multiple contracts and budgets on behalf of the team for clients and contractors.
• Applying well developed communication skills to ensure internal and external clients are engaged and informed at all phases of projects.
• Preparing offers of service and costings, project status reports and presentations.
• Supporting the General Manager and Project Managers in all tasks related to programme planning and to achieve on time and on budget delivery of projects.
• Planning meetings, co-ordinating attendance and taking notes, ensuring actions arising are allocated and tracked.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Substantial experience as a project co-ordinator or business administrator.
• Knowledge of project planning and project management with an ability to anticipate and undertake appropriate action even in ambiguous and complex project phases.
• Experience in reporting, project financials and knowledge of project processes; experience with WorkflowMax would be an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work and collaborate positively in a team environment.
• A sound knowledge of Tikaka and Te Ao Māori and an understanding of the nature of treaty partnerships.
• A good understanding of the cultural values and aspirations of mana whenua would be an advantage or a willingness to learn.
